Our dedicated technicians are hard at work making permanent repairs as parts arrive and removing temporary air conditioning units whenever possible. In addition, preventive maintenance vendors have spent nearly four weeks conducting thorough checks on boilers and heating systems across our facilities. These proactive inspections will continue until all building systems are fully prepped for the colder months ahead.

Looking toward the future, HCPS has partnered with local firm CapTech to conduct a comprehensive third-party assessment. Combined with vital feedback from school principals and maintenance personnel, CapTech’s recommendations will help reshape division operations for long-term reliability and efficiency.

To sustain these operational improvements, expanding our skilled team is essential. HCPS is actively recruiting for key roles, with a focus on two vital positions:

Director of Facilities Operations and Maintenance (Job ID: 2082) Lead strategic operations, maintenance strategy, and facility management across all division buildings.

Tradesman II – Regulated / HVAC Technician (Job ID: 1592) Perform hands-on installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and temperature control systems.
